I am thrilled to announce the release of my debut album Soul To Keep on Nashville-based Nine North Records in early 2014. The 13-track record. produced by Grammy-nominated Jamie Candiloro (R.E.M/Willie Nelson/The Eagles/Ryan Adams) features all original material (that I wrote or co-wrote) with Marty Rifkin (Bruce Springsteen/Tom Petty/Jewel) on pedal steel, Ben Peeler (Shakira/The Wallflowers/Josh Kelley) on dobro, Lisa Germano (John Mellencamp/Simple Minds/Sheryl Crow) on violin, with me and Jamie on all other instruments and voices. ‘Soul To Keep’ will be mastered by Stephen Marcussen (Paul McCartney/Stevie Wonder/Barbra Streisand) before the release and I look forward to sharing this with you soon!

Before pursuing a career in music, I worked at several large Entertainment companies and the last position I held was Sales Manager at GSN (Game Show Network). The company moved me from Los Angeles to Chicago in 2010 which allowed me to reconnect with friends and family in my home state of Illinois. Until then, I had been writing songs and taking music courses online through Berklee in my free time but had no professional recordings. Because of the move, I was able to put together a band (two friends who were in another local band and my father who is an amazingly talented guitar player) to help with my recordings.
The day we finished tracking songs at a studio in Chicago, I ran into a friend who offered to introduce me to a very talented Los Angeles-based producer, Jamie Candiloro, who happened to have produced one of my favorite records ‘Easy Tiger’ by Ryan Adams. I was soon recording the project from scratch with Jamie and continuing my sales job in Chicago. We added a few more songs along the way, one of which I wrote after a sales trip to Little Rock, Arkansas. The song is called “Go” and it is a story about love and the unknown. I truly believe that what is right for us will always find it’s way, and for me that has been country music, though it took quite some time before I realized this!
Despite facing the many challenges shared by independent artists, I have received a tremendous amount of support along the way and have been fortunate to connect with many extremely talented musicians. This year, I began collaborating with Adam Levy who wrote, played guitar and toured with one of my favorite artist’s, Norah Jones, for 7 years. Adam and I are currently working on a new recording project. I also began working with renowned Atlanta-based vocal coach Jan Smith who has helped take my performance to a different level. She is vocal coach to some of my favorite country artists including Shania Twain, Jennifer Nettles and The Band Perry.
It’s been 3 years in the making and I look forward to sharing my new record ‘Soul To Keep’ in early 2014 on Nine North Records.
From my heart to yours,
